October 11th PSAT Announcement Grades 9-11

Dear Bulldog Students and Parents in grades 9-11:

Please mark your calendars for October 11, 2023. Hitchcock High School (HHS) will be PSAT testing grades 9-11 for FREE. This test is a very important test that will:

• See where they are and set a target: set their own personal target SAT score

• Find out about their potential

• Enter the National Merit Scholarship Program: PSAT/NMSQT Student Guide 

• Help pay for college: scholarship opportunities

• Connect to their future: BigFuture School™ mobile app 

Senior College Visit Day October 11th Announcement

Dear Bulldog Seniors and Parents, HHS is providing you (and parents/guardians) with a one month notice to plan a college visit with an official college recruitment representative to one of our LOCAL junior colleges, four year universities, military recruiters, and/or technical colleges. Here’s what to you need to do:

• Report to gym w/ Coach Caliz at the start of 1st period on 10/11 for MANDATORY attendance and student training sessions. Students will be released after course completion to attend their planned college visits. 

• Complete your TEA required CPR course

• Complete your TEA required civilian interaction training

• Arrange your own transportation

• Students unable to provide their own transportation to a college visit can sign-up for a trip to College of the Mainland for a tour of new facilities, complete an application, complete an FSA ID, etc. (lunch will be provided).
