In a crucial effort to underscore the perils of impaired driving among teenagers, Hitchcock Independent School District (ISD) is proud to announce a partnership with the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) to present the "Is It Worth It?" program. This impactful event is set to take place on April 24th at Hitchcock High School, a week before the much-anticipated school prom, aiming to dramatically highlight the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Following another phenomenal season culminating in their second consecutive Class 3A State Championship, the boys' basketball team at Hitchcock ISD has received a multitude of accolades at the district, area, and state levels. These awards underscore the hard work, dedication, and talent of our players and coaching staff, led by the 2023 NFHS Texas High School Boys Basketball Coach of the Year, Christopher Jordan-Foster.

In a riveting demonstration of talent, teamwork, and determination, the Hitchcock High School boys basketball team has once again emerged as the 3A State Champions, marking a historic victory over Ponder High School with a final score of 53-49 this past Saturday. This win cements their place in the annals of Texas high school basketball history, especially under the stewardship of Coach Christopher Jordan, who was honored with the Coach of the Year award by the UIL on the eve of the championship game.

The Hitchcock Bulldogs Boys Basketball Team has emerged victorious in the Region III, Regional Tournament, solidifying their position as contenders in the upcoming State Tournament. With an exceptional display of skill and teamwork, the Bulldogs have earned the opportunity to compete for the championship title again for the third year in a row.

The State Tournament is scheduled to take place at the Alamodome in San Antonio, with the semifinals set for March 7th and the title match on March 9th. Hitchcock ISD is proud to announce that our Bulldogs will be representing our community on this prestigious stage yet again.

In order to ensure that every member of Bulldog Nation has the opportunity to support our team in San Antonio, we have made the decision to make Thursday, March 7th, and Friday, March 8th a school holiday. This will allow students, staff, and families to travel to the Alamodome and cheer on our team as they fight to become #backtoback State Champions!
