Hitchcock ISD Partners with UTMB for Life-Saving “Is It Worth It?” Event Ahead of Prom Season

In a crucial effort to underscore the perils of impaired driving among teenagers, Hitchcock Independent School District (ISD) is proud to announce a partnership with the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) to present the "Is It Worth It?" program. This impactful event is set to take place on April 24th at Hitchcock High School, a week before the much-anticipated school prom, aiming to dramatically highlight the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Hitchcock ISD Boys' Basketball Team Garners Numerous District, Area, and State Level Recognitions

Following another phenomenal season culminating in their second consecutive Class 3A State Championship, the boys' basketball team at Hitchcock ISD has received a multitude of accolades at the district, area, and state levels. These awards underscore the hard work, dedication, and talent of our players and coaching staff, led by the 2023 NFHS Texas High School Boys Basketball Coach of the Year, Christopher Jordan-Foster.

Hitchcock ISD Make History as Back-to-Back 3A State Championships in Boys Basketball

In a riveting demonstration of talent, teamwork, and determination, the Hitchcock High School boys basketball team has once again emerged as the 3A State Champions, marking a historic victory over Ponder High School with a final score of 53-49 this past Saturday. This win cements their place in the annals of Texas high school basketball history, especially under the stewardship of Coach Christopher Jordan, who was honored with the Coach of the Year award by the UIL on the eve of the championship game.

HISD Cook Off Team Wins Prestigous "Go Texan Day" Award at HLSR

Big congratulations to our Crosby Middle Schooland Hitchcock High School Cook Off Teams for winning the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo's Go Texan Day Spirit Award! 🌟💫 Their incredible video celebrating the history and importance of Go Texan Day for our great state has captured hearts and showcased their immense pride in our Western heritage. Go Texan Day is all about donning your finest cowboy gear and celebrating the start of the rodeo season with activities that highlight our rich traditions.
